Prime Minister Trudeau Asked To Investigate 

John English and his family were clearly the victims of a very high level crime. He met personally with a number of British Columbia cabinet minsters and other politicians and explained his situation and they did nothing. Mr. Carten spoke and wrote a number of British Columbia politicians on his behalf and they ignored him and did nothing.

Mr. English had reached out to Premier Christy Clark and she did nothing

Mr. English had contacted Prime Minister Harper with no results.  

So, finally, John English decided to write directly to Canada's newly elected Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

It may be a co-incidence, but 45, days after he wrote to Prime Minister Trudeau, Prime Minister Trudeau paid a visit to the Tofino crime scene where the attacks against the English family took place.
